VOLUNTEERS:
Are you looking for a place to volunteer that is off the beaten trail and provides a quiet, restful environment? WomanWell might be that spot for you! We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities such as; cleaning, gardening, hosting, serving snacks and preparing rooms for gatherings. We invite you to visit WomanWell to explore possibilities for using your gifts in ways that are mutually beneficial.
Eric Gross: I was asked if I had free time to fix small projects because of my experience as a handyman. I have continued to help out for the past two years and have always felt welcomed and appreciated. Because of my spiritual practice, WomanWell feels like a home away from home.
Molly Corcoran has a background in education and the human services field. After teaching in Minneapolis for 20 years, she worked in the elderly Services Division of the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation for 17 years. Prior to her retirement in 2003, Molly worked in our office part-time. Molly has always enjoyed cooking and has been putting her talents to good work at WomanWell. During the past two years, she has prepared and served a great variety of food during our weekend retreats. She especially enjoys testing new recipes and she is known for her delicious biscotti and Hibernian Soda Bread.
Karen Rudeen is a retired occupational therapist with a specialty in hand therapy. She thrives on activities involving interaction with people and nature. Karen enjoys volunteering at Womanwell which combines her love of cooking with service as she helps prepare meals for retreats. She brings a gentle and warm caring presence to WomanWell and those she serves there.
Tish Osborn is an interior designer "par excellence." Her artistic gifts are one of her blessings and she has generously shared them with Women Well. However, her contributions in assisting other religious groups and organizations around the Twin Cities have also been evident. Her spirit is obvious throughout our space. Over several years, Tish has donated her time and talents to coordinate our facility. We are grateful for her ability to work within our limited budget constraints, always planning ahead and coordinating for the future. Her artful planning and placement of artifacts and works of art, as well as her conceptual ideas of color and balance, has enhanced our space with beauty and energy we may all enjoy. Tish has an undergraduate degree in Design and Art Education from Michigan State University, in Lansing Michigan. She received her Masters in Art Education from Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan. Her love is working with color and creative spaces, but she contends she still teaches...through every project she does. We are grateful for her contributions to Women Well.
